To get more accelerators, click the Find More Accelerators link in the Manage Add-ons window or visit Microsoft’s IE add-ons gallery.

Lock Your Preferred Search Provider

Some Windows programs like changing your default search engine to their own, usually inferior, search engines. To stop applications from manipulating your browser settings, you can lock your preferred search provider in place – other applications won’t be able to change it without your permission.

To make this change, open the Manage Add-ons window, select Search Providers in the sidebar, and enable the Prevent programs from suggesting changes to my default search provider option.

Reopen Closed Tabs

Internet Explorer 7 brought browser tabs to Internet Explorer users, but it was missing a crucial feature – that ability to reopen closed tabs. Thankfully, this feature was introduced in IE 8. All you have to do is right-click IE’s tabs and select Reopen closed tab. You can also select from a list of recently closed tabs using the Recently closed tabs submenu.

Browse Privately With InPrivate Browsing

To enable private-browsing mode, click the gear icon, point to Safety, and select InPrivate Browsing. In InPrivate Browsing mode, Internet Explorer won’t save any history, cookies, or other temporary Internet files. You can browse privately, knowing that other people that open IE later won’t be able to see what websites you were viewing. It’s ideal when you want to surprise someone with a gift and in many other situations.

Get Website Suggestions

Internet Explorer can suggest websites you may be interested in based on websites you visit. It does this by sending a list of websites you visit to Microsoft’s servers – so make sure you’re okay with that before enabling this feature.

To enable this feature, click the gear icon, point to the File menu, and select Suggested Sites. You’ll also have to enable your favorites bar – right-click IE’s toolbar and select Favorites bar to enable it. Click the Suggested Sites option on your favorites bar to view similar websites.

You can also tweak a lot of Internet Explorer settings from the Internet Options dialog, which also contains parental controls that let you block access to specific categories of websites.

Cukup dengan berbekal dengan flashdisk dan PC ber OS apapun anda bisa menjalankan Ubuntu dari flashdisk mungkin dulu kita memakai Live CD untuk bisa menikmati Ubuntu di PC lain tapi sekarang sudah tak jamannya lagi kemana-mana membawa CD.

Kenapa harus Ubuntu sementara masih banyak distro lain bertebaran diluar sana? Salah satu alasan terkuat adalah Ubuntu merupakan distro yang kompatibel di segala jenis komputer dan tampilannya pun mudah dipahami dan sederhana.

Apabila anda memiliki flashdisk berkapasitas minimal 1GB (semakin besar lebih baik karena anda bisa menginstall bermacam-macam aplikasi) anda bisa menginstall OS Ubuntu langsung dan menjalankannya di PC manapun. Dan tool yang bisa digunakan untuk membuat Flashdisk Anda terisi Ubuntu, anda bisa menggunakan Unetbootin yang bisa diunduh di http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/

Pilih aplikasi berbasis Windows, Linux atau Mac OS yang sesuai dengan PC yang akan digunakan sebagai basis saat membuat flashdisk ber-OS. DI tutorial kali ini kita memakai Windows sebagai basis PC kita. Lalu pilih Download (for Windows).

Jika anda belum memiliki file ISO Ubuntu silahkan mendownload versi terbaru Ubuntu di www.ubuntu.com. Versi teranyar Ubuntu saat ini Ubuntu 12.04 LTS lalu pilih sesuai chipset anda, i386 atau amd64. Setelah file ISO selesai diunduh, silahkan ikuti langkah-langkah berikut ini:

1. Siapkan file ISO Ubuntu yang telah diunduh. Letakkan file tersebut di folder tertentu agar lebih mudah menemukannya.
2. Sebelumnya format flashdisk anda dengan format FAT atau FAT32. Karena FAT mampu dikenal oleh BIOS komputer-komputer lama.
3. Jalankan aplikasi Unetbootin yang sudah diunduh terlebih dahulu klik 2x bagi WIndows XP dan klik kanan lalu klik run as administrator bagi WIndows Vista dan 7. Lalu akan muncul window seperti dibawah ini.
   
4. Ada dua pilihan. Distribution jika anda ingin memilih distro lain dan langsung mendownload file ISO dari internet. Pilihan kedua adalah DIskimage. Gunakan pilihan ini jika anda sudah memiliki file ISO di dalam Harddisk, lalu klik browse. Kemudian di pilihan Type pilih USB Drive.
5. Jika sudah menentukan semua pilihan di window tersebut, klik tombol OK. Maka proses pembuatan akan segera dimulai.
   
6. Tunggu sampai proses selesai. Sampai muncul tampilan seperti di bawah ini. Untuk mengetest hasil instalasi OS silahkan reboot komputer anda.
7. Pada saat proses reboot pastikan anda bisa masuk ke BIOS anda, biasanya dengan menekan tombol Delete di keyboard. Lakukan perubahan pada boot setting. Pilih USB Drive sebagai sumber booting pertama, jika sudah anda tinggal simpan settingan BIOS dan lakukan reboot ulang. Dan pastikan USB Drive anda tetap terpasang.
8. Proses booting akan dilakukan dengan menggunakan flashdisk anda dan jika anda sudah masuk ke menu login Ubuntu selamat anda sudah sukses menginstall Ubuntu di flashdisk, tanpa perlu membuat partisi baru di harddisk anda.
   
   Cukup Praktis bukan, sekarang anda bisa memakai Linux di komputer manapun. Selamat mencoba.

While Windows 7 Home Premium is the mainstream version of Microsoft’s latest operating system, the Professional version is intended for business environments including home offices. However, the games that ship with Windows 7 Professional are not installed by default. Learn how to install the games that ship with Windows 7 Professional.

Windows 7 Home Premium versus Professional

Windows 7 Home Premium edition is the mainstream version of the operating system for home users. Although Windows 7 Professional is aimed at the commercial (business) market, there are no license restrictions that prevent a home user from buying and installing the Professional edition on a home or home office computer.

Some people like some of the features offered in Windows 7 Professional and opt to install it on a home computer instead of the Home Premium edition. One feature found in Professional but not in Home Premium is Windows XP Mode, an application that allows compatibility for software that only runs in a Windows XP environment or another previous version of Windows.

By default, the games the ship Windows 7 are automatically installed with Windows Home Premium during a standard installation; for Windows 7 Professional, however, the games are not installed. Even so, you can still install the games in Windows 7 Professional; you just have to install them manually.

Manually Installing Games in Windows 7 Professional

Begin by logging into Windows 7 Professional using an account that has administrative privileges. Then, click on Start>Control Panel>Programs>Programs and Features. You should now be looking at the Uninstall or Change a Program window. To the far left of the window, locate and click on a link titled Turn Windows Features On or Off.

Near the top of the list, click on the plus sign next to the folder labeled Games.

You’ll notice the following games listed:

1. Chess Titans
2. FreeCell
3. Hearts
4. Mahjong Titans
5. Minesweeper
6. More Games
7. Purple Palace
8. Solitaire
9. Spider Solitaire

You’ll also notice a folder with the following games inside:

1. Internet Backgammon
2. Internet Checkers
3. Internet Spades

These three games are not actually Windows 7 games. They are simply links to a website where you can play these games online. Place a check mark next to all of the games you want to install. If you want them all, you can alternatively place one check mark next to the Games folder.

Click the OK button when you are done and follow any onscreen directions. At most, you may simply have to approve the installation of the games at the administrative level. When done, you will find the games listed under Start>Games.

Unlike Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows games are not automatically installed in the Professional edition of the operating system. Too many systems administrators and managers complained that with a standard installation of Windows, the games were installed and too many workers were playing solitaire and other games while they were supposed to be working.

Starting with Windows XP, Microsoft removed the games from a standard installation of the operating system for those aimed at commercial markets. From that point on, games in those operating systems had to be installed manually by a systems administrator.
